About Us

The OUT Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded by Brigham Young University LGBTQ+ alumni in order to empower the LGBTQ+ alumni and current LGBTQ+ students of BYU in achieving their intellectual, social, and professional potential. We are dedicated to connecting and supporting LGBTQ+ alumni, distributing financial grants to LGBTQ+ students, documenting the history of the LGBTQ+ experience at BYU, and providing a platform for alumni stories. 

We are not affiliated with or financially connected to Brigham Young University, the BYU Alumni Association, or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are comprised of LGBTQ+ people who attended or graduated from Brigham Young University.
